How TENOK handles your information

Information we collect
TENOK collects your name, optional email address, optional mobile number, Oklahoma mailing address, preferred follow-up method, consent choices, and the dates of registration-assistance steps you report to us. Agreeing to postal reminders is optional. To check for an exact voter-registration match, TENOK temporarily processes the first name, last name, date of birth, and residential ZIP code you submit.
Why we collect it
We use the information to provide nonpartisan voter-registration follow-up, send postal reminders only when you consent, document participation for program administration and reporting, and compare an exact match against a protected nightly voter-list index. Only participants who opt in appear on TENOK’s protected mailing list.
What we do not retain or collect
TENOK does not store your date of birth after the registration check. It is not added to your participant record, browser storage, analytics, or logs. TENOK does not collect a driver-license or state-ID number, Social Security digits, signature, party affiliation, voter ID, voting history, or answers entered into Oklahoma’s voter-registration application.
Security and retention
Your name and contact information, including your mailing address, are encrypted with AES-GCM before being stored. TENOK’s registration-check database contains keyed one-way match hashes and status counts, not raw voter names, birth dates, addresses, party affiliation, voter IDs, or voting history. Participant records are retained for up to two years for program reporting and follow-up unless you ask us to remove them earlier.
Your choices
You may Stop reminders and delete your saved contact information from the registration workflow in the same browser session. You can also contact TENOK to request removal. Withdrawing does not change any voter-registration record held by the State Election Board.
Important distinction
TENOK is not the Oklahoma State Election Board. The registration check uses a nightly Oklahoma Election Data Warehouse snapshot, not the live official voter-registration system. A TENOK result of “not confirmed” does not mean you are unregistered. Saving information with TENOK does not register you to vote and is not proof of registration.
